As I’ve mentioned in past blog posts (seen here and here and here and here and here), I’m drawn to certain words. The attraction is often a word’s meaning or spelling, but sometimes I just like the way a word rolls off my tongue.
These are more of my favorites:
Hoppipolla
Tsundoku
Vellichor
Fernweh
Tartle
Inglenook
Phosphenes
Revenant
Otherworldly
Alight
Elysium
Psithurism
Kibosh
Ukulele
Mortician
Svengali
Grawlix
Flutist
What are some of yours?

I’ve been thinking about this since the other post you wrote about words you like. To the point I started keeping a list because I was toying with writing a post (with a linked nod to you if I did). Most of my words are similar to many of your past lists, but then this list took things to a whole new stratosphere with some $100 words I’ve never encountered before!!!! lol

My friend Nikki read my past blog entries about this topic and recommended a couple of books about words. I picked ’em up from the library and dove in. Those tomes introduced me to so many new words that I had to keep a notebook nearby while I was reading just so to keep track of all the terms I wanted to mention in future posts. This one was my favorite – https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/28665384-other-wordly
